Robert S. Furr, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified gynecologist who sees patients ages 12 and older. Dr. Furr specializes in treating advanced endometriosis and pelvic pain and uses minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and robotic procedures.
As a native Texan he completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees at Baylor University. Dr. Furr earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Edison, New Jersey. He then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois and then a fellowship with Dr. C.Y Liu in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Dr. Furr is board certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and strives to be the best in his field by staying current with published data and surgical advancements.

In his spare time, Dr. Furr enjoys the beach, fishing, and hunting. He also values spending time with his family, including watching his daughters play volleyball.
- Care Philosophy

Dr. Furr believes surgical expertise is important, but it is worthless if it is not promoted and passed down to others. Therefore, he is committed to training gynecologists in his methods both nationally and internationally. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications and chapters in international textbooks on minimally invasive surgery, and has participated as a guest lecturer and surgeon on numerous occasions in the United States, China and Russia.
