San Ysidro Health was honored to host The SCAN Foundation’s Health Equity Advisors for their quarterly meeting. This esteemed cross-sector group comprises leaders from nonprofit, philanthropy, healthcare, social justice, racial justice, and multicultural communications sectors. The Health Equity Advisors play a pivotal role in guiding all aspects of The SCAN Foundation’s Advancing Health Equity in Aging initiative.Launched in October 2022, this initiative seeks to identify and address the root causes of health inequities experienced as people age. It aims to tackle structural inequities resulting from an uneven distribution of power and leverage community-driven interventions to improve the lives of our priority populations.
