Noah Stafford, 87, of Louisville, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was born in Giles County, TN, on May 18, 1915, to the late Neal and Lena Smith Stafford. He was a veteran of World War II and retired from the Highway Department of the State of Kentucky. His survivors include his wife, Lucille Cates Stafford, a son, Charles Stafford, and a sister, Eva Snodgrass, all of Louisville. He is also survived by three grandchil-dren and three great-grandchildren.

Opal Sutterlin, 73, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday at her residence. She was a native of Louisville and the former Opal Hurd. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church. Born on March 24, 1946, he was a native of Greenville, KY, and a barber and a cosmetologist. He was preceded in death by his father, Otha Mayes, and his mother, Helen Lesley Mayes.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Henry-Mayes; son, Russell (Caren) Mayes of Orange, CA; brother, Elzie Mayes of Gray, GA; and three sisters, Martha Whi-taker of Greenville; Linda Black of Clifty, KY, and Patsy Harker of Gray. He was a 1952 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Business, served in the Kentucky National Guard for 10 years, was a past recipient of the IBM National Diamond Sales Award and a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, American Management Society and Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity.
