ADAMS, Mary Christo-77, of Manchester, NH, died Saturday, June 18 at Merrimack Hospice House, after a long battle with a rare form of cancer. was born on November 16, 1927, in Boston, MA, and was the daughter of Simi and Lona (Legor) Christo. She was raised in the West End of Boston, MA, and attended schools that area, before moving to Manchester 57 years ago.

Mrs. Adams retired from Lew Cummings Printing Inc. in 1993. During her retirement she worked as an Albanian Language Interpreter for The International Institute of Health and Child Health Service representing refugees from Albania and Kosovo. In addition to her professional activities, Mary donated countless hours assisting refugees set into the community and helped them to start their new lives.

She was an active member of the Albanian American Society ZGIMI; St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral; Anagennesis Society and TriOrtho. In her life Mary was devoted to her loving husband Archie for 57 years and to her family, a daughter, Ruth Adams Swaty and her husband Timothy of Houston, Texas; granddaughter Amanda Swaty Meyers and her husband Dennis of Chicago, Illinois; son, George Adams and his wife Maureen of Merrimack, NH; grandsons, Michael D. Adams and Matthew P. Adams of Merrimack, NH; sister Dora C.
